Email Features

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) The standard e-mail protocol on the Internet. Email Aliases Email aliases enable you to have email messages redirected to a specific POP email account. For example, you can set up the email alias sales@yourdomain.com to direct all messages to your account you@yourdomain.com. These aliases can be added or deleted at any time.
Catch All A catchall email account receives emails addressed to former users or non-existent users. For example, if an email is addressed to joe@yourdomain.com but the user name "joe" does not exist on that domain, the email is routed to the catchall account.
Spam Assassin SpamAssassinTM is a mail filter to identify spam. Using its rule base, it uses a wide range of heuristic tests on mail headers and body text to identify "spam", also known as unsolicited commercial email.
MX Record Changes Your hosting account's MX record specifies how mail addressed to your domain is to be handled. By default, such mail is handled by our mail servers and distributed according to your E-mail Settings. Some users may wish to have mail handled by a remote mail server. In such instances, the MX record can be changed such that all mail addressed to your domain is redirected to the remote server. (We will remain the primary host of the domain but redirect e-mail to your remote server.)
